2019 Hombu Dojo Intensive

Join us for a weekend of training at the hombu dojo, centered in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. For the first time, Breazeale Sensei will bring together our brothers and sisters of budo who are spread out across the globe. Sensei will share the fundamental conditioning methods for Yoshida-ha Shidare Yanagi-ryū (吉田派枝垂柳流) along with the body control and training methodology of Yoshida family sojutsu.

He will be covering components of what is generally referred to as aiki (合気), the function of kata (形) as a training paradigm, and how the weapons syllabus informs unarmed applications. Kenjutsu will include Walking-the-Circle; Sojutsu emphasis will be placed on the Hiden no Kata (秘伝之形).

Food and lodging will be handled on-site, with an expert in the field of tea preparation and a world class chef in the kitchen! Bring only yourself, a notebook, and whatever equipment you refuse to leave home without.

Times:

Friday – 7:00pm-10:00pm
